Porto Katsiki
"The Beach of the Goats" is what they called it and for good reason. That is the only thing that could climb down the cliffs "back in the day". Now, you can too with a path carved out of the rock. Of course, legend has it a village boy or two might have thrown a few Turkeys off the top to see what would happen. We did confirm Turkeys can fly. Take a look below.
Tips
-Use Google Maps to find it.
-Don't Go if its not calm, waves get big and there isn't much room on the beach when those waves break.
-Consider going for sunset. There will be more space. You will last longer. It is gorgeous. The crowds are gone.
-You can be parking for 5-10 euros by credit card or cash
-They do serve food from the beach. Please tip them. You will understand why!
-The beach bakes so if you are going to go, you will need to head in early to make the trip worthwhile.
-Driving there is fine but when you go to leave the roads are often double parked and the same fat car you took there may be a bear to drive away in.
-There is a really nice cafe about 0.5miles before the beach with a stunning view. Take a coffee there and take it easy.
-No bathrooms on the beach but back "upstairs" are a few if you buy something when you go.
-There are no umbrellas or chairs at the beach
